THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Assembly Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan on Sunday came up with an explanation regarding him attending the inaugural function of gold smuggling case accused Sandeep Nair's workshop in Nedumangad. The speaker said he did not attend the function while the Assembly meeting was going on.

According to the speaker, he attended the function after the assembly dispersed. He also produced a video footage that shows the assembly getting dispersed. Earlier, C Divakaran MLA had criticised the speaker for attending the function.
