KOCHI: ‘I was not in the driver’s seat at the time of the accident’, said Arjun, driver of violinist Balabhaskar. The driver moved the court demanding a compensation of Rs one crore saying the car was driven by Balabhaskar.

Balabhaskar was in the driver’s seat at the time of the accident. The reason for the accident is the rash driving of Balabhaskar, Arjun informed the tribunal. Arjun filed the plea making Balabhaskar’s family the opposite party. The plea said that he incurred a loss of 1.21 crore for treatment and other things. He also mentioned that he has no other means of living.

Meantime, the crime branch probing the accident stated that the car was driven by Arjun. Forensic examination revealed that Arjun’s head injuries mention that he was on the front seat.
