THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A driver of Kattakada KSRTC depot tested positive for COVID-19. The driver, a native of Kattakada was on duty for all days till July 19. He was on duty at the airport also. He was subjected for a medical examination at a private hospital following body pain and some uneasiness. The virus was confirmed on him in the tests conducted. He is likely to have contracted the disease while on duty at the airport.

All steps are being taken to find those who came in contact with him. He has a wide circle of friends and is believed to have come in contact with over a thousand people. A decision has not been taken whether to close the depot or not. Talks are being held in the presence of concerned authorities.
