THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that 151 persons tested positive for coronavirus in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. Of the new cases, 137 persons contracted the disease from contact. Meanwhile, authorities have not been able to identify the sources of 7 persons who newly tested positive for the virus.

The district also reported one COVID death on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Pulluvila native Victoria (72).

It must be noted that Thiruvananthapuram has been reporting the highest number of COVID cases in the state for the past few days. With the number of positive cases increasing, the district administration and health department have intensified efforts to combat the spread of the virus.
