KOCHI: State recorded one more Covid death on Friday morning. The dead person was a bed-ridden patient at a nuns’ convent in Kakkanad. She had tested positive for Covid earlier. Her health condition had been bad over the past several days.

As many as 139 persons are residing in the convent. In the antigen test conducted on them, Covid was confirmed in 43 inmates, following which, others were put under observation.

Incidentally, the number of Covid cases in the district are rising exponentially.

Meanwhile, a person who returned from abroad and was under observation in Malappuram collapsed and died. The dead has been identified as Changarakulam Nannamukku native Aboobecker (51). He had returned to Malappuram 12 days ago. His serum test will be conducted today.
