KOZHIKODE: BJP State president K Surendran has alleged that gold smuggling case accused including Swapna Suresh used to frequent the offices of the chief minister and principal secretary at Secretariat.

“Now they say the CCTV cameras are damaged and this is a ploy to cover up this. Their claim that the CCTV cameras were destroyed in the lightening is a lie. Such an incident has not happened in Thiruvananthapuram. The chief secretary had prepared two letters in order to destroy the visuals. The government itself appointed a probe team to destroy evidence,” he said

Surendran also alleged that the government had tried to illegally sell 30 acre land acquired for Smart City project. Former principal secretary M Sivasankar and gold smuggling case accused were behind this.
