THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It would not be beneficial to implement a complete lockdown again in Kerala, reviewed the CPM. The CPM state secretariat assessed that a complete lockdown will not be beneficial except people’s lives coming to a standstill. It was opined at the meet that local restrictions should be strengthened instead of closing down Kerala as a whole. The CPM clarified their stand at a time when an all-party meet is convened in the evening.
The health department wants to impose a complete lockdown following the rise in infected cases. It is heard that the chief minister is also of the same stand. A section of the cabinet is opposing it. A complete lockdown is badly affecting the income of the ordinary people.
