PALAKKAD: A teacher who was on duty during the conduct of Kerala Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Entrance Exam (KEAM) exam has tested positive. She was on duty in Kanjikode GVHSS and she is also a native of that locality.
Later, the teacher’s daughter also tested positive for Covid. She was in Chennai. The teacher had reportedly gone to Chennai to bring her daughter back to hometown. It is said that she might have contracted the disease from Chennai.
Along with the teacher, teachers who were on duty with her and about 40 students, who took the examination at the school, were put under observation.
The health department is also trying to prepare the contact list of the teacher.
