KASARGOD: Recent reports claim that 43 persons who had attended a marriage at Chenkala in Kasargod have tested positive for coronavirus. The marriage took place on July 17. The newly married couple has also tested positive for the virus, reports said.
Meanwhile, a case will be registered against the people who conducted the marriage by violating the COVID norms. Kasargod District Collector has directed the police to register a case under the Epidemic Diseases Act.
The collector also said that all those who had attended the wedding should remain in quarantine and must immediately consult nearby primary health care centre if they experience any symptoms.
