THIRUVANANTHPAURAM: The customs will question S R Jayaghosh, former gunman attached to the UAE Consulate, again after summoning him to Kochi in the gold smuggling case. They had questioned him earlier also. They will be questioning him again following the discrepancies in his statements. He had continuously contacted Swapna and Sandeep when the customs seized the bag containing gold.

Customs said things including Jayaghosh's appointment are under investigation. Many including the IB had recorded his statements from him. Jayaghosh is under suspension now.

The opposition had alleged that his appointment was illegal and sought strict action against those behind his appointment.
