KOLLAM: Traffic restrictions based on registration number are implemented for private vehicles in Kollam. Odd and even number restrictions will come into effect.

Vehicles with registration number ending in odd numbers can be used on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Those ending in even digits are allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This will come into effect from Monday morning at 6 am.

The district administration has decided to impose stricter restrictions in the backdrop of rising number of patients through contact.

Strict restrictions will be imposed in containment zones on Sundays. Shops in containment zones will be permitted to open only on alternate days. People are restricted from going out. Steps have been taken to disinfect 15-20 houses after dividing them into clusters following the rise in Covid cases.
