THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government declared 29 new hotspots on Sunday. The new hotspots are given below:

Kozhikode-Kodancherry (all wards), Ramanattukara Municipality (14), Unnikulam (1,14,23), Kayakkodi (7), Thikkodi (7), Payyoli Municipality (31)
Thrissur-Valappadu (13), Edathuruthy (9), Kaippamangalam (12), Maala (7,8,9,10,11,14,15,17,20), Kadappuram (6,7,10)
Idukki-Vathikkudy (2,3), Kamakshy (10,11,12), Kattappana Municipality (15,16)
Ernakulam-Nellikkuzhy (all wards), Kuttampuzha (4,5), Ezhikkara (8,9)
Kannur-Kuttiyattoor (11), Ayyankunnu (14), Muzhukkunnu (2)

Meanwhile, 15 places were removed from the list of hotspots. They are given below:

Currently, there are 494 hotspots in the state. The state confirmed 927 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. Of the new cases, 76 persons returned from abroad, 91 from other states, and 733 persons contracted the virus through contact including 67 cases without an identified source of infection.
