KOCHI: It has been alleged that a patient died without getting treatment. Vijay, a security employee in Aluva, died in an ambulance without getting treatment. It was alleged that though Vijay was taken to the taluk hospital in Aluva with high fever, he was asked to lie down in the ambulance for nearly half an hour. The ambulance driver and the local residents said that no one attended on him. The police have also reached the spot.

However, the hospital authorities have dismissed the allegations. The hospital said they had asked to shift the patient to fever OP but those who came with him refused to do so. They also explained that as the patient had symptoms of COVID, he could not be treated without safety measures.
