KOCHI: Sources said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) did not summon the former IT Secretary M Sivasankar to its Kochi office to record his arrest. It is learnt that Sivasankar has given proper answers to all the questions so far and is fully cooperating with the investigation team. Meanwhile, certain reports also suggest he might be summoned once again for questioning.

NIA IG Nithish Kumar, who will be taking charge of the investigation, has set forth to Kochi. Meanwhile, the investigation team has obtained evidence which proves that Sivasankar had contacted customs officials. The NIA officials are trying to bring clarity to some of the statements given by Sivasankar during the interrogation in Thiruvananthapuram. The investigation team has also begun collecting CCTV footage from the Secretariat to find whether accused Swapna Suresh and others had visited any officials or ministers in the last one year.
