semi-high-speed-rail

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The revenue department on Tuesday sent back a file regarding the acquisition of land for the semi high-speed rail project. According to the revenue department, it cannot ignore the norms and laws to acquire land for the project. It also informed the Transport department that the move to hand over land acquisition mission to a consultancy is against the law as only the revenue department has the right to acquire land for the project. Earlier, the move to outsource land acquisition without informing the revenue department had become controversial.
