THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Monday accused Minister of state for external affairs V Muraleedharan of misleading the ongoing investigation in connection with the gold smuggling case. While stating that Muraleedharan is trying to influence the investigating officials through satyagraha and continuous statements, Kodiyeri added that the minister is violating his oath of office by taking part in such protests.

"Both the NIA and the Customs are investigating the case. Muraleedharan's action shows that he has no confidence in both Union Home Minister and Finance Minister. He has no right to remain in the office any more as he has violated his oath of office by openly taking part in such protests," Kodiyeri said.
