KASARAGOD: Four were hacked to death here in Kaniyala. A person with mental illness committed the crime. He hacked his three uncles and an aunt to death. The deceased has been identified as Vitla, Devaki, Sadasiva, and Babu. All are natives Paivalike in Kaniyala. Their relative Udaya committed the murders.

The accused has been arrested by the Manjeswaram police. He was handed over to the police by local residents. Kasaragod DySP and Kumbala CI reached the spot. Further actions have been initiated.
