THRISSUR: The crime branch arrested four in the United Nurses Association (UNA) financial fraud case. National president Jasmin Shah, Shoby Joseph, Nithil Mohan and Jithin are those arrested. The crime branch had earlier issued a look out notice against the four.

The case is that the office-bearers siphoned off Rs three crore from the account of the UNA. UNA former vice president Siby Mukesh had lodged a complaint mentioning that an amount of Rs 3 crore 71 lakh is missing from the association’s account. The complaint alleged that the amount which came to the account from April 2017 to January 2019 had gone missing.

The complaint also stated that Rs 68 lakh collected in the name of membership fees and the amount collected for other purposes have not reached the four accounts which are in the name of the association.
