KOTTAYAM: In the nun rape case, the accused bishop Franco Mulakkal has got bail on condition that he should not leave Kerala till August 13 when the charge sheet will be read.

The bishop should appear in the court for all hearings.

The Supreme Court had the other day dismissed his discharge petition. Franco had approached the court, saying that witness accounts were contradictory and the evidence against him was forged. Therefore, it will not hold water. But, the court maintained that it won’t be able to exclude Franco from the list of accused.

Earlier, the high court had also rejected the discharge petition of Franco. The high court then ordered him to undergo trial.
