THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State government has issued a detailed guidelines for treating Covid patients with either no symptoms or mild symptoms at home.
- The observation rooms in homes will have to be arranged according to the instruction from respective districts.
- Call centres, telemedicine and vehicle arrangements should be functional completely.
- Current discharge protocol will be applicable to the patients under observation.
- There should be accessibility for vehicles till the entrance of the house where a positive patient is under observation.
- Mobile/telephone facility should be provided.
- The patients should not come into contact with other members in the house with some serious disease.
- The patient should prepare a chart about his health condition.
- Teleconsultation is mandatory every day.
- The patient and those who are taking care of the patient should wear three-layer mask.
- Either Medical Officer or local health authorities should examine the health condition of the patient.
- The Covid patient should not be co-morbid.
- Covid-positive pregnant patients should not be treated at home.
- It should be ensured that the patients at home have sound mental health
- If the patient is below 12 years, one healthy and adult bystander should be with him in the room
