MALAPPURAM: Minister K T Jaleel has informed that one of the passengers who died in Karipur plane crash has tested positive for Covid. He asked the rescue workers at the airport to subject themselves to Covid test on their own.

He also added that the procedures for post-mortem of dead persons would start soon. Earlier, health minister K K Shailaja had instructed that rescue workers meet health workers.

Meanwhile, Kozhikode District collector said that the post-mortem of plane crash victims would be carried out as per Covid protocol.
According to the latest update, the number of persons died in the crash is 19.
