KOZHIKODE: Writer K R Meera came to the fore responding to the controversy on her inclusion to the board of studies of the M G University. I have resigned from the post given without applying, she wrote in her Facebook page.
Due to the busy schedule of writing the novel 'Communist Grandmother', to be published later this year, there is no time for controversy. She said she had decided not to accept political appointments from the state or central governments from the day she decided to live by writing. She added that her mistake was not giving a political dimension to her membership in the board of studies.
It had been alleged that her appointment to the board of studies of the MG University School of Letters was in violation of rules. It was alleged that Meera was made a member by cutting the names given by the expert committee of the School of Letters. It was after this she came to the fore with an explanation.
