THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said that this year's onam celebrations will take place as per COVID restrictions. A decision regarding this was taken during a top level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister.
According to the chief minister, onam celebrations and onam sadhya will not be permitted at public places. People will be allowed to have food at restaurants by following physical distancing norms. While shops can functiom from morning 7 am to evening 7 pm, restaurants will be allowed to function till night 9 pm, he said.
The CM also added that all those who are returning the state for the Onam holidays will be subjected to COVID test.
