THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Public Service Commission (PSC) exam method is changing in the state. The PSC exams will be conducted in two phases in the state. The first exam written by lakhs of candidates will be considered as a screening test. Preliminary list will be prepared after finding the meritorious ones from the screening test and they will be chosen for the final exam. The marks of the final exam will be considered for the appointment, said PSC chairman M K Sakeer.

The marks of the screening exam will not affect the final result. Only the best will enter to the second round. The move is to find those who take the PSC exam seriously. The results will be announced immediately after the final exam. The new system will be implemented from December. All the exams postponed due to COVID have been resumed. The exams will be conducted in accordance with COVID protocol. Online verification will be done only during COVID time. The chairman said results of the KAS preliminary examination will be announced on August 26.
