THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has again trained his guns at the government over gold smuggling case. He said the details of officers who had roles in the gold smuggling should come out.

“Sivasankar is not the only accused in the case. The chief minister ought to give out more information about gold smuggling case.”

Chennithala said that the chief minister had gone to UAE for raising Flood relief fund. Former principal secretary Sivasankar had also gone with him and Swapna was with him (Sivasankar) at that time. “Then how come Swapna was part of the official delegation?. The CM’s official visit was beneficially used by the gold smuggling team. In Life Mission also Swapna had a role. It should be probed as to who were the beneficiaries of the commission from the Life Mission. Sivasankar is not the sole beneficiary.

Even after eight days, I have not got reply for my letter to the chief minister over the MoU related to Red Crescent. The government should also publish the details of foreign help obtained by it in the projects announced by the chief minister after the foreign tour,” he said.

Chennitala alleged that “LDF Govt has turned into a stinking baggage. They can't cleanse themselves with all the perfumes from all around the globe. More and more stories of their corruption and shady deals are coming out every day. Pinarayi Vijayan govt has lost all credibility”.
