THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chenkottukonam native Nandu, who has been battling cancer for the last three years, has received around Rs 50 lakh from various social media users in the last 12 hours. Earlier, Nandu had sought financial help for his treatment through his social media page. Currently undergoing treatment at the Chemo ward in MVR cancer centre, Nandu has expressed gratitude to all those kind-hearted people who made donations for his treatment.

The tumour in his chest is being shrunk by using medicine from the USA. For this, he has to undergo 24x7 chemotherapy for 14 days. This is a highly expensive treatment. While thanking all those who donated for his treatment, Nandu said that he has received more money than he anticipated and requested everyone not to send any more money to his bank account.
