THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said as Covid transmission has alarmingly spiked in the State, Onam celebrations should be confined to houses.

“For Athapookalams, use flowers from your neighbourhood,” he said.

Instructions regarding this was given in the video-conference the chief minister held with district collectors. It was pointed out that the flowers brought from other states may increase the chance of Covid transmission in Kerala.
