In many kits, there are items worth Rs 400 to 490 only. The Vigilance also found that there are lapses in ensuring the quality and quantity of the Onam kits. The irregularities were discovered as part of 'Operation Clean Kit', a lightning raid conducted by the Vigilance.

Statewide raids were conducted by the Vigilance as part of the operation. In the coming days, more inspection will be there. Raids were held in packing stores, Maveli stores, and ration shops on Thursday.
