THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will question four IAS officers in connection with Life Mission scam involving Trivandrum airport gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh. Apart from questioning Sivasankar, IAS officers UV Jose, who signed the agreement with Red Crescent, then chief secretary Tom Jose, and then local secretary TK Jose, who is currently the home additional chief secretary.
Meanwhile, the officers revealed that the chief minister and minister AC Moideen didn't see the files. According to the local self government department, it isn't necessary that the CM should see the files regarding Life Mission as it has more freedom. AC Moideen didn't see the files as he was in Thrissur.
The officers were likely trapped by the intervention of Sivasankar, who was the Life Mission CEO before UV Jose.
The agreement with Red Crescent was signed on July 11, 2019. TK Jose came to know about this only on the previous day. Sivasankar told him that the law department had recognized the agreement. Life Mission and CEO UV Jose was also informed by Sivasankar.
TK Jose was told that Red Crescent is ready for apartment construction worth Rs 20 crores and their team has arrived in Kerala. UV Jose says that he signed in papers after the agreement was scrutinized by the law and local departments.
