KASARGOD: One more COVID-19 death has been confirmed in Kerala. He has been identified as Abbaz, a native of Kasargod. He was 74. He was confirmed of the virus in the tests conducted after his death. He was admitted at the Mangalppady taluk hospital following fever and breathing problems.

Meantime, the increase in the number of youngsters confirmed of COVID in the state is a cause for concern. Health experts warn that in the next stage of the transmission, adults at home are more likely to contract the disease. If the ICU ventilators are not adequately equipped, the death rate will increase in the coming days. In Ernakulam alone 61 % of those diagnosed with the disease are under 50 years of age.
