KOZHIKODE: It has been hinted that an unknown group had reached Mukkam in the district. This group is found to have stayed at Vaidyarmala till the end of last month. Information has obtained that the team stayed in Vaidyarmala in August also but their goal is not clear. It is doubtful whether they are linked to terrorist activities. Reports said secret investigating department have started collecting details. However, police and others have not confirmed it.

The banned SIMI had conducted a camp in Vagamon from December 10 to 22 in 2007. SIMI activists from various parts of the country had attended the camp. A probe by the intelligence unit found that training was given in using machine guns, mountaineering, bomb making, racing and blasts were planned in various parts of the country.
