THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram district reported 397 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. Among these, 367 persons contracted the disease through contact. The district also reported two COVID deaths on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Gandhipuram native Sisupalan (80) and Poojapura native Shanavas (49). At present, nearly 5500 persons are undergoing treatment in the capital district.

So far, more than 12,000 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Thiruvananthapuram.
