KOCHI: The police will be going to Uttar Pradesh in search of the accused in the case of gang raping a 14-year-old girl in Manjummel. The police arrested three accused-- all natives of Uttar Pradesh in connection with the incident. The police will be going to Uttar Pradesh in search of three other accused who had fled the state.
The Kerala police have sought the help of the Uttar Pradesh police to find the accused. Police said the eighth standard girl was sexually abused many times from March to August. The girl was threatened and sexually abused.
The girl revealed the incident during counselling in school. Following that, the authorities informed the police. The accused were staying near the victim’s house. The girl was gang raped in Manjummel, Kunnumpuram and Edapally.
