THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state registered 2375 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, health minister KK Shailaja informed.
Among the new cases, 2142 persons developed the disease through contact including 174 cases without an identified source of infection.
61 persons came from abroad, while 118 persons returned from other states. 49 health workers also tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
1456 patients tested negative for the virus on Tuesday.

The state reported 10 COVID deaths on Tuesday.
As many as 1,83,794 people are under observation including 17,010 in hospitals. 1,834 persons were admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours, 34,344 samples were tested. As of today, a total of 14,84,907 samples were tested in the state.
The government declared 10 new hotspots in the state while removing 14 places from the list. Currently, there are 619 hotspots in Kerala.
