THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All files of the protocol section in the public administration department will be examined in connection with the fire in Secretariat. The investigating team said that only then it can be found which all files have been lost. All the partially burnt files will be scanned and stored. If any investigating agencies demands it in future then can hand over the scanned files. Investigating team examining the files will be video graphed. Eight cameras have been installed for it. The statement of all staffs of the public administration department will be recorded along with that.

The police have decided to seek the CCTV footages of the fire in the secretariat. A letter was given to protocol officer requesting five days of footages. The protocol department’s reply will be that there are no CCTVs in the area of fire. Meantime, the fire force is of the opinion that there was no act of sabotage in the fire at the secretariat.

The report mentioning short circuit as the reason for fire will be submitted to the government today. The fire force had criticized saying that the safety regulations were not strictly followed in the main block where they conducted mock drill two years back. A team led by Disaster Management Commissioner A Kaushik is examining the possibility of a coup in Tuesday's fire. Although the team includes Fire Force Technical Director Noushad, another investigation report will be submitted directly to the chief minister by the Fire Force.
