THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The situation in Thiruvananthapuram district remains worrisome as 532 persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. Among these, 497 persons contracted the disease through contact. Meanwhile, 544 patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours.

As per the state government's COVID dashboard, the district has reported nearly 14,500 COVID cases so far. At present, around 6000 persons are undergoing treatment for the infection in the capital district.
