THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kodikunnil Suresh apologised over publicly criticising Shashi Tharoor, for writing a letter to Sonia Gandhi, demanding a change in national leadership. “I regret the grief caused to Shashi Tharoor by my words. I didn’t intend to cause any personal harm to him. Even though our disagreement over various issues will continue.” Suresh said. His ‘guest artist’ jibe at Tharoor was criticised and praised by several Congress leaders.
Meanwhile, UDF convenor Benny Behanan has openly supported Shashi Tharoor. However, Tharoor has accepted the high command decision, which came after the letter was given. Earlier, KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran had asked leaders to stay away from making public comments on the party’s issues. He said AICC directive in this regard should be followed and all leaders can voice their opinions in official forums of Congress party
