THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state registered 2397 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said. Among the new cases, 2317 persons developed the disease through contact including 49 cases without an identified source of infection. 68 had returned from abroad and 126 from other states. At least 63 health workers were among those who contracted the virus, the Chief Minister said.

2225 patients tested negative for the virus on Saturday, the CM said.
