THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state registered 2154 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among the new cases, 1962 persons developed the disease through contact including 174 cases without an identified source of infection. 49 had returned from abroad and 110 from other states.
33 health workers tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours. 2225 patients tested negative for the virus on Sunday.

1766 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the past 24 hours. The state reported seven COVID deaths on Sunday.
Over several districts in the state, there are 1,99,468 persons under observation including 19,486 in hospitals. 2378 persons were admitted to hospitals on Sunday.
At least 27,908 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. The total number of tests conducted so far is 16,69,779.
The total number of hotspots stood at 586 with the addition of 14 regions and removal of 18.
