THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have arrested two main accused who were involved in the murder of two DYFI men at Venjarumoodu. The arrested have been identified as Sajeev and Sanal. Police said that they both are Congress workers and are the first and third accused in the case. It is also learnt that the two have connections with organisations such as INTUC.
According to police, both Sajeev and Sanal attacked Huq Muhammad and Mithilraj on Sunday night using weapons. Sanal is the brother of INTUC worker Unni. Earlier, the police had arrested seven persons who helped the accused escape from the spot.
