KOTTAYAM: Kerala Congress (M) leader Jose K Mani has said that the political stand of the party will be taken before local body polls. Election Commission’s decision is a severe blow to those who attempted to dismantle Kerala Congress, which was built by K M Mani through years of struggle.

“They tried to insult even K M Mani. Now it is revealed that Joseph faction was engaged in a campaign of lies against us. However, truth has won at last. Poll panel’s decision has boosted the morale of party workers. Earlier, we were called as Jose faction, now it is proved that we are the real Kerala Congress. Everybody has the opportunity to come back to the party fold,” he said.

Election commission took a conducive decision for Jose K Mani rejecting P J Joseph’s claim for party symbol. The poll panel considered the fact of Jose faction having 2 MLAs and MPs. Losing the party symbol, when local body polls are around the corner is a severe set back for Joseph faction.
