A Kollam native killed another person, who was having a drink with him and four others. The dead has been identified as Thiruvananthpuram Vellarada native Unnikrishnan (50).

Unnikrishnan was strangled using a rope and he was also stabbed in the abdomen using a knife.

Anchal Police have arrested Pathanapuram native Jose (Pandy Jose -42)

The incident happened in the house of Valakam native Kunjappan. For the past three years, Kunjappan has been living alone in his house. On some days Unnikrishnan and Jose used to join him for drinking.
On Thiruvonam day, the three as well as three others had got together for a boozing session.

According to the police a drunken brawl between Unnikrishnan and Jose had resulted in the murder.

Police later arrested Jose.
