OCHIRA: The police arrested four of a goonda team for attacking a youth with a bear bottle for questioning verbal abuses. Pyari (23) of Ochira and accused in several cases, Jithin Raj (21) of Valiyakulangara, Shaan (21) of Krishnapuram and Ajay (19) of Paayikuzhi are those arrested. They are accused in several cases, including grabbing money from a father and son after hurting them on the national highway and for abducting a migrant girl.

The case was registered against the four for injuring Shyam Sasidharan (36) with a beer bottle when he questioned the four for hurling abuses. Shyam had reached his relative’s house in Valiyakulangara. The unfinished villas here are a hotbed of drug mafias and goons. The accused were arrested by a team led by Ochira station house officer R Prakash.
