BENGALURU: Bineesh Kodiyeri said that he has close ties with Anoop Muhammed since 2013. Anoop was recently arrested in Bengaluru for smuggling drugs. Bineesh rejected the allegations levelled by Youth League leader, P K Firoz on his involvement with the drug racket. He said that not only him but all those who know Anoop will be shocked after hearing the news.

Bineesh said that he met Anoop when that latter was into T-shirt business and later he switched to hotel business and many including me had funded him. It was Anoop who books room for me when I reach Bengaluru. I am acquainted with that Anoop. Those hotels are not mine and earlier many had alleged that a building which was under construction in Thiruvananthapuram was owned by me but once the construction got over, all realised that it was a church, he said.

Bineesh said that he used to call Anoop often and he doesn’t exactly remember whether he had called Anoop on that day Swapna Suresh was arrested. He also made it clear that he has no plans to file a defamation case as almost everyday allegations of similar sort are raised against me.
