THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM branch secretary of Kulathoor,Kolathukara branch , Anilkumar,flee after the activists attempted to hack him with a sword. He was attacked by the activists. The police team led by Thumba CI arrested, Rajendran aka Agni (42), native of Kunjalumoodu and his friend and CPM worker Arun(27), native of Monvila, Kulathoor in connection with the incident.

The incident occurred around 6.00pm on Wednesday in front of Anilkumar’s residence near Gurunagar in Kulathoor. The protest staged as part of black day observance paved way to verbal brawl between two factions which further led to the conflict. Anilkumar was attacked and attempted to hack by the convicts in midst of these events. The police informed that the attack was a result of convicts ’previous vengeance upon him. During last Onam Rajendran was attacked near Infosys by a team led by Anilkumar and Thumba police had registered a case against Anilkumar and others on that issue. Rajendran was ousted from party as he denied the opinion of local leaders to withdraw the plaint and to settle the dispute.
