THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Responding to BJP's allegation that files regarding Malayalam Language Week Fete had Pinarayi Vijayan's sign on it while the chief minister was in the US for medical care, CM Vijayan said the sign is not fake and it's his only. He further said that he signed not one file, but 39 in total. The signs were made through e-signature. BJP is making an allegation without knowing the details, CM criticized.

BJP spokesperson Sandeep Warrier earlier on Thursday alleged that the CM's signature was forged to pass some files.

CM Vijayan went to London on September 2, 2018. He returned on September 23. Sandeep said the CM signed on files regarding Malayalam Language Week Fete on September 9 and asked who signed the papers while the chief minister was abroad. CM Vijayan's response to the allegation came as a reply to a question asked while addressing the media on Thursday evening.
