THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Recent report claims that Anoop Muhammad, the second accused in Bengaluru drug smuggling case, had contacted Bineesh Kodiyeri even two days before he was arrested by the police. It was a Malayalam news channel that revealed the news on the basis of phone call details.

As per the phone call details, Anoop had contacted Bineesh 5 times on August 19. On August 13, the two had talked over phone for more than 8 minutes. Earlier, Bineesh had said that he shared a close friendship with Anoop for several years. However, Bineesh said that he was shocked when he heard that Anoop had connections with the drug smuggling case in Bengaluru.
