THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ongoing tussle between the Jose and Joseph factions of the Kerala Congress is causing a huge crisis within the UDF with PJ Joseph threatening to leave the front if Jose faction is called back. Joseph said that he has informed this to opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, Oommen Chandy and UDF convenor Benny Behanan.

According to Joseph, he cannot get along with Jose K Mani who attempted to cheat UDF. He also said that those people trying to bring Jose faction back to UDF must change their decision. Joseph went on to ask whether Jose would be able to issue a letter in the name of party chairman. " The Idukki Sub Court had restrained him from officiating and discharging any function as the chairman of the Kerala Congress (M). This order has not been cancelled by the Election Commission. Jose is neglecting the court order by acting like party chairman," Joseph said while claiming that he is still the party's working chairman.
