SRINAGAR: Recent reports claim that bodies of two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were recovered from the Kishanganga river in Jammu and Kashmir. The bodies were found from the part of the river near the LoC area.

According to sources, the two militants might have drowned in the river while attempting to infiltrate from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). The militants have been identified as Sameer Ahmad Bhat and Nisar Ahmad Rather, both hailing from Pulwama district. It is learnt that both militants had joined Hizbul Mujahedeen after they went missing in 2018.

Security officials have recovered an Aadhaar card, a driving license, four AK magazines and one grenade from the militants
