THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a possibility for rain in the state on Sunday and Monday. Southern districts of the state are likely to receive more rain. In south Kerala, along the eastern hilly regions rains with thunderstorms are likely. Districts like Ernakulam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram are forecasted to receive rainfall.
There will be isolated rainfall in central and North Kerala. A yellow alert has been sounded in Kollam and Alappuzha on Sunday. A tropical cyclone formed between Kerala and Karnataka recently will move west resulting in rainfall in South Kerala and Tamil Nadu. People residing in coastal areas are advised to maintain vigil as there is a possibility for turbulent seas from Sunday to Wednedsay.
